Trucksville Early Childhood Education Center is located in a quiet, peaceful setting in an area known as the Back Mountain. The school occupies classrooms in the newly constructed William and Melba Dickson Educational Facility. (The school was founded in 1969 so we have had ample time to figure out how to do things "right".) The preschool is owned and operated by the great folks at the Trucksville United Methodist Church. We do not teach Sunday School at Trucksville Early Childhood Education Center. We accept and respect families of any religion, race, color, and ethnicity.
We offer classes for children ages 2 through 5 years of age. Financial aid is available on a first come first serve basis. There is no daycare program in our facility.
* The Trucksville United Methodist Church has a great Sunday School for all age groups. Further information can be obtained at 570-696-3897.

Our Parent Enrichment Group
The Partnership between our families and our school is vitally important. Through communication we build understanding and guidance and provide a greater consistency for the children.
The Parent Enrichment Group was founded at Trucksville Early Childhood Education Center in 1984. The goal, then and now is to provide the opportunity for parents to become involved in their child's preschool education. Our objective is to enrich the quality and increas the quantity of experiences provided for students and, at the same time, enrich the parents by providing informational programs and the arena in which to share concerns involving "Parenting" - the most important job you will ever do.
Their meetings also include discussion on school social functions and fundraising. Some past activities have included Ice Cream Socials, A Holiday Store, the productions of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman, the collection of food items for the Back Mountain Food Pantry, aides for eye screening, and offering "helping hands" (PeeWee Helping Hands Committee) when needed.
